About - Bio

My name is Elven Lore, and I have been working in the information technology field for 16 years. Most of my experience has developed through my position as in-house tech support for two different law firms: Tobin Lucks and Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton. At the first firm I supported 4 offices with up to 70 people at a given location, and at the second firm I supported up to 80 users. I also supplied the in-house tech support for a public relations firm, Blanc & Otus, and prior to that I worked in a clerical position for a Microsoft certified training partner, QuickStart Technologies, where I first began to learn about technology. Over the years I have been responsible for supporting user needs in every capacity--from fixing printer jams and walking users through using software to running file access audits, writing security policies, and setting up enterprise solutions.

While at Blanc & Otus I attended several courses on troubleshooting hardware and software. Several years later I studied Java, C++, and SQL+ at Ventura Community College, and I learned VBA through a course I took for Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton. Although formal training comprises much of my technical knowledge, the majority of my skills were developed through hands-on experience. It was my job to quickly learn any technology the firm needed so that I could then support it, and I can do the same for you.

I now provide PC support services for the Ojai Valley, Ventura, Oxnard, and Carpinteria. Whether you are seeking help with your home computer or desktops and server applications at your business, I can help.
